Beds...

Here are pictures of my(Ximena) bed as well as our sister Noel's. Sorry we haven't posted in a long time. We have been busy bees with school and work. Thanks to all of those that sent us emails welcoming us to the blog world. We really appreciate them!

My bed...
This is kind of an older picture. I have added and taken away more stuff to my room. I'll post an updated one as soon as I can. The headboard was bought from Sears. The pillowcases and comforter are from the Simply Shabby Chic collection at Target and the mirror hanging on top of the bed was purchased on eBay. It is one of my all time favorite pieces. The framed toile is something I designed and put together myself. I bought the fabric online and the frame at Goodwill. At first I thought of selling it on eBay but I loved it too much.

Noel's bed.....

Noel is redecorating her bedroom and bathroom. It is still a work in progress but I wanted to show her gorgeous bed which I picked out for her and she loved.

Garden....

Hello everyone! This is Ana. My sister and I feel so hapy that Cindy of Romantic Home wrote to us. She is a big inspiration for us. It is a very unique relationship my little sister and I have, even though we are so far apart in age. Basically I've always seen her as a sweet sixteen gift from my parents, as if she were my own daughter. We have tons in common and feel happy to be around each other most of the time, even if we are not saying anything...LOL

Well we have tons of beautiful things to show you , since summer is going away so fast we wanted to share some pictures of the gorgeous plants around our sister Noel's back yard.

Ximena's dog Sammy loves to go in the plants to keep cool! :)

As any other beginner to the world of blogs I just realized some of the pictures didn't come out complete. Here's my second attempt....

Ximena's Cherubs

These are the cherubs around my room. I still live with my parent's so I can't make the whole house as Shabby Chic as I'd like :) so here are the ones in my room....

Photobucket

This is my favorite cherub. I bought it at Ross for $7. It was originally an ugly gold color so of course I had to paint it white. It was one of the first items I painted along with my candelabra so it didn't come out as well as I could do it now but maybe for that reason I love it more than others.

This is the entrace to my bedroom where I have hung two plaques with cherubs on them. The tallest one was from Goodwill and it cost $5. It is super heavy and I didn't make any changes to it. The second smaller one was from Goodwill as well. It was originally gold. I like to make changes constantly to my room so every few weeks the layout of this wall changes.

These 4 cherubs was a gift from my mom. She bought them at a flea market and begged me not to paint them white, LOL, she think I paint everything white! I went along with it and I don't regreat it. I think they look greeat in gold. I don't have a place to display them properly, so they move around a lot.

This is my seconf favorite cherub. It was bought at Ross a few days after I got the other one. Just like my favorite it was painted gold. It is now op topof this beautiful mantle mirror that I bought on eBay for $199

This case was purchased at Michael's I don't remember the exact price but I know it was on sale. I bought another one in green for my mom's room. I keep post it notes, tags, and small paper goods that I think are pretty. Some of my favorites were bought at Etsy (see below)

These two cards were handmade by some very talented person on Etsy. I bought 8 of each and although I thought they would be a bit bigger (why didn't I read the measurements? :) I completely love them. They are so detailed and pretty.

Cherubs

We love cherubs for a shabby chic style. Our love of cherubs came at an early age. I (Ximena) remember going into my sister's bedroom as a child and seeing a big poster with two angels. I wasn't very interested at the time but now I love them! and I thank my sister for surrounding me with beautiful things from an early age. Here are some of our favorite cherubs from around each of our homes.....

Ana's Cherubs.....

This cherub is on a white armoire in my living room. It is my all time favorite one. I bought at at Big Lots where I work for $4. I love the expression on its face and eventhough I can't tell what it is I like to think he is holding a bible in his arms. Isn't it gorgeous?

This pair of instrument playing cherubs was originally meant to be sold on eBay by my sister Ximena, however I loved it so much that I bid on it myself! Now they sit on a simply shabby chic table in my dining room. I am fascinated by cherubs playing music because music is so dear to my family's heart. I have two sons, Xavier and Denis who play instruments as well.

This was found at Goodwill for $1. It was originally silver so I painted it white. It is beaitiful not only for decoration but also useful for holding delicious treats on top. It is Ximena's favorite cherub from Ana's stuff.

This soap dish was bought by me at Marshall's for $4. I love to find beauty in simple things. Some of our most cherished items were found at local thrift stores or clearance bins.

This cherub was bought at Goodwill for $1.99 Eventhough it is hard to tell it is made of plastic. I think it was once a wedding centerpiece.

This is from a set of two identical mirrors. They are surrounding a toile tapestry from France (I'll post pictures later) in my living room. They were $7.99 at Goodwill.
